The seeds of Prarthana were planted in 2002 by our Founding Father, Shri Ravi Belagere – an independent thinker, provocative journalist, maverick showman and visionary educationist – a man who had a dream – to make inclusion and equal opportunity the pillars of a unique education system, that breaks the mould of elitist quality education.

Two decades later, the seeds have taken root as Prarthana – a network of Schools that are propelled by positivity.
As the children of Prarthana flourish as self sufficient individuals we express our gratitude to our Founding Father, and our commitment to grow this tree of wisdom to greater heights, contributing to society and building the best practices for generations to come.

Mr. Adityodaya Karna Belagere

Secretary

Adityodaya Karna Belagere, who obtained his postgraduate degree in Education from the University of Birmingham, UK, is currently serving as the Secretary of Prarthana. In today’s contemporary society, where competition and comparison have become prevalent in education, he strongly believes that urging young minds to compete and compare with one another not only hampers their true potential but also places unnecessary pressure on them. Personally, he believes that competition and comparison should be focused on self-improvement rather than comparing oneself to others. His ultimate objective is to witness children excel in both their professional and personal endeavours.

Mr Lakshmi Shivarama

Academic Advisor

Mrs Lakshmi has pursued her graduation and post graduation in Finance from Rutgers University USA and Manchester University UK respectively. She has served as Executive Director of Concorde Developers, a Real Estate firm. Through her volunteering work she found  her passion in the education field. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Mathematics for teaching at Harvard University, USA. 

Mrs Lakshmi believes what defines and differentiates us is the relationships we build with our students, teachers, helpers, students and parents with the values we imbue, our culture richness, besides just academics. 

Mr Umesh Hegde

Chief Executive Officer

Mr Umesh Hegde worked in the banking sector having more than a decade of work experience in the banking field. His experience and expertise became an asset to the Prarthana Kutumba. Prarthana school was founded with the sole intention of providing quality education to children at an affordable cost, irrespective of their caste, religion or economic conditions.
